I want to change (transfer) the name of the au mobile phone contract holder from parent to child

If your child is a junior high school student or above, the name can be changed. Transfer procedures can be completed at au Style/au Shop.

If your child is an adult, click here for procedures. 

The parent/guardian who has parental authority (current contract holder/transferor) and the child to be transferred (transferee) must come to the store together.

  • If a minor child becomes the contract holder, please remember to bring the seal of the parent/guardian who has parental authority.

  • If your child is an elementary school student or younger, the contract (new/transfer/inheritance) cannot be made in your child's name.

  • If the transferee does not have the same surname and address as the transferor, a family relationship certificate is also required.
  • Some services may not be able to be transferred due to the transfer procedure.

    【For Your Reference】Important notes on transfer within family

    • If you have merged your au ID, the au IDs will be automatically separated and a new au ID will be issued to the transferee.

    • The au PAY card, au PAY prepaid card, and au PAY balance used by the transferor will not be transferred.

    • The usage limit of au Easy Payment will not be carried over.

    • The paid content that the transferor has applied/contracted for must be cancelled by the transferor himself/herself.
  • There is no charge for transfer within family.

  • If you are paying for a device in installments, the transfer will be possible once the application for lump sum settlement of the balance is completed.
