| ■Eligibility | -Must be a student during the application period (no restriction on age, sex, nationality, etc.) * If you are applying as a group, all members must be student. * As a requirement for final decision for selection, we may request you to submit proof of student status such as a student identification card. * Underage applicants will need legal guardians’ consent. * Please obtain recommendation from a teaching staff, if possible (details or absence of recommendation will not affect the review process.) * Winners must be able to participate in meetings for product commercialization in case the work is selected (maximum of 1 year, details of the meetings for product commercialization will be informed separately) |
| ■Product commercialization | Products to be selected: A few Winners will participate in meetings with a prospect of commercialization of products for iida LIFESTYLE PRODUCTS. *Consideration in the amount of 500,000 yen (including consumption tax and withholding income tax) will be paid. |

| ■Meetings for product commercialization | Through iida AWARD 2011, we send out products that suggest new lifestyle to the world by utilizing meetings for product commercialization in which both the company and students exchange ideas to polish design and specification. Therefore, some entry works may be buffed up and others may require major changes in design and specification. Applicants who passed the screening process will participate in meetings for product commercialization for the period of up to one year. |
| ■Results announcement | We initially reported that the date of results announcement would be after the end of March; however, the schedule shall be changed due to the effects of the earthquake disaster. The revised date of results announcement is after the middle of May 2011. *Applicants who passed the screening process will be separately informed by the organizer. |
| ■What to submit | 1) Application form: One A4 size paper, printed portrait on one side (specified form is available for download from our website) 2) Presentation sheet: One A3 size (vertical or horizontal) paper, use only one side. (do not affix to a board, use of Kent paper and color photo printing paper is allowed) Please submit iida LIFESTYLE PRODUCTS that are suitable for commercialization in the following manner. □Name of the work □Method of presentation (Indicate dimensions. We recommend that works include rendering images.) □Language: Japanese or English only * The works may incorporate digital content to enhance presentations. * As a part of screening process, we may request you to send CAD data, data for printing (350dpi resolution), etc. In such cases, the organizer will contact you separately. | ■How to submit | 1) First, please register applicant information (name, sex, age, name of school, name of the teaching staff, contact information, profile, and what inspired you to enter the contest, etc.) through iida AWARD 2011 website. * If you are applying as a group, please enter the name of a representative person. * By registering once, you may submit multiple pieces. (Use the same [Registration Number]) 2) Enter “Registration Number” issued for submission of the work on the application form and send in the manner specified. It must be received within the work submission period. *Works will be only accepted through mail delivery. Hand-delivery to the organizer, submission via fax, E-mail, etc. will not be accepted. |
