【au Email Portability】I want to cancel this service.

You can cancel the service from the My Page of the au Email Portability.

How to cancel the au Email Portability service

    Access the page of au Email Portability from the smartphone you are using the service on. 

    【Reference】If you are using the au Email Portability service on an Android smartphone's au email app

      Launch the au email app.

      Tap the menu key in the upper left of the screen → "au Mail Portability Menu" [auメール持ち運びメニュー] in order.

      Proceed to step 6

      • You may need to log in with your au ID.

    Scroll the screen from bottom to top.

    Tap "Click here for application/My Page (au ID login)" [お申込み・マイページはこちら (au IDログイン)].

    Enter the au ID of the email address you want to cancel and tap "Next" [次へ].

    【Important notes】

    If you are not connected to LTE but connected to Wi-Fi when logging in with your au ID, you may need to log in with two-step verification.

     

    Two-step verification

    When logging in from a Wi-Fi connection or from another device such as a computer, a link will be sent to the au mobile phone registered with the au ID via text message (SMS).

    By clicking the link on the text message (SMS) the authentication screen will be displayed, and by pressing the "Allow" [許可] button to authorize authentication, you will be able to log in.

    • Once authentication is authorized, two-step verification will be skipped for a certain period on the login device.

    (If you log in using the LTE line with the au mobile phone registered with the au ID, the above two-step verification operation is not necessary)

    Enter your password and tap on "Login" [ログイン].

    Tap on "Cancel service" [サービスの解約] on My Page.

    Tap on "Proceed to confirmation screen" [確認画面に進む].

    【Reference】If the au Email Portability email address and the contact email address 2 registered in the au ID member information match

    Tap "Proceed to email address deletion screen" [メールアドレス削除画面へ進む], delete the "Contact email address 2" [連絡先メールアドレス2] information from the au ID member information site, and then perform the cancellation procedure.

    Confirm the important notes below and tap "Agree to the notes and cancel" [注意事項に同意して解約する].  

    Important notes

    • After cancellation, you will not be able to view email data.

    • You can reapply within 31 days of cancellation. After reapplication is completed, will resume the sending and receiving emails.

    • Email data on the email server will be automatically deleted after 31 days from the cancellation of this service.
    • Please note that you cannot reapply after 31 days have passed.

    When "Cancellation completed" [解約完了] is displayed, the cancellation of the "au Email Portability" service is completed.  

    Regarding emails sent after cancellation

    After the cancellation is completed, an email titled Notice of Completion of Cancellation of au Email Portability will be sent.

    • If you have not registered your au ID contact email address, it will not be sent (cancellation is completed).
  • All of the indicated amounts exclude tax unless otherwise specified.
