【Ponta Point】Can I use Ponta points to pay my au monthly charge?

Yes, you can use them. Choose the number of Ponta points you want to use to pay your au monthly charges from among the three usage courses. The selected number of Ponta points will be divided into six months and deducted from your monthly charges from the month following your application.

Point Usage

Requirements

You must have au line that has au PAY* or au PAY Card.
*Includes those who only use au PAY prepaid card
Eligibility for discount
Applies to charges for mobile phone (smartphone / 4G LTE mobile phone / tablet / router, etc.) after all discounts have been applied.
Ponta points cannot be used to the charges of UQ mobile (5G compatible plan/4G LTE compatible plan)

Even if the bills are combined, only the charges of the line you applied for is eligible.

Number of points that can be used and discount period

Please choose from the following three point usage courses.
At the same time as your application, the number of points for the selected course will be used, and then the discount will be applied to your monthly charges for 6 months. (The discount is applied to the usage fee of the month of your application (billed next month). Example: If you apply in February, the discount starts from the February usage (March bill)

Notes
Even if the monthly discount amount exceeds the total billing amount, the discount will not be carried over to the next month or points will not be returned onwards

It is not possible to cancel, change the course, or add courses after applying

au points cannot be used

Even if you cancel your au service or switch to another company with a remaining discount period, the discount will continue as long as there is a billing for au mobile phone charges. Ponta points will not be returned if there are no remaining au mobile phone charges

Procedures

Access Use to pay au mobile bill [au携帯電話へ料金充当] and log in with your au ID and password.

Tap on the point course you want and check it.

After selecting the course, tap on "Next" [次へ] at the bottom of the page.

Please confirm the information and tap on "Apply with this information" [この内容で申し込む]. The application is now completed.

Reference

The expiration date of Ponta points is extended for one year from the last date when points were added or used.

Points added through campaigns, etc. may have a shorter expiry date
