【au PAY prepaid card】I want to renew my au PAY prepaid card (it has expired / it will soon expire)

If you need to apply for a renewal or if your card has expired, please proceed from the au PAY Prepaid Card Reissue page.

  • Please note that you will need to log in with your au ID and enter your 4-digit PIN code

  • In some cases, we may ask you to confirm the delivery address

Procedure information by email

Approximately 3 months before the expiration date, we will send you an email with instructions on how to proceed. 

You can also complete the procedure via email.  

(The email will be sent from the address info@wallet.auone.jp to the contact email address of your au ID)

How to check the expiration date of the au PAY prepaid card

  • It is displayed on the front of the au PAY prepaid card. For where it is displayed, click here (in japanese only)

  • Check on the au PAY site (au ID login is required)

If your au PAY prepaid card is registered on an internet shopping site

If your au PAY prepaid card is registered on an internet shopping site, you need to update the card expiration date. As soon as you receive your new card, please update the expiration date.

If the au PAY prepaid card has already expired and you do not plan to continue using it

  • If the au PAY prepaid card has already expired and you do not plan to continue using it in the future (you will only use the au PAY app), you do not need to go through the renewal procedure. When you receive your new au PAY prepaid card, please keep it in your possession without going through the procedures to start using it.

  • If your old card has expired, please cut it with a scissor and discard it.
  • All of the indicated amounts exclude tax unless otherwise specified.
