【au PAY】I want to charge using a credit card

You can charge it from the au Pay app.

Select "Charge" [チャージ]"au PAY Card" [au PAY カード] or "Credit Card" [クレジットカード] on the au PAY App.

Alternatively, you can charge from the au Pay website.

Select "Charge" [チャージ] or "Charge/Withdrawal" [チャージ・出金]"au PAY Card" [au PAY カード] or "Credit Card" [クレジットカード].

  • If "au PAY Card" [au PAY カード] or "Credit Card" [クレジットカード] is not displayed, select "All Charge Methods" [すべてのチャージ方法] to display it.

Errors when charging

If ER305 is displayed

The credit card you entered is not eligible for charging your au PAY Balance. 

For eligible credit cards, please confirm from the "Credit Card" [クレジットカード] section in "How to Charge (deposit)" [チャージ(入金)方法] in the link below, and then register.

If ER310 is displayed

The specified amount cannot be charged because the charge amount per month using a credit card exceeds the upper limit.

Please charge within the monthly charge limit or charge by a method other than a credit card (in Japanese only).

  • As of April 1, 2023, the monthly charge limit from credit cards other than the au PAY Card has been changed to 50,000 yens

If ER321 is displayed

The customer have not registered for the Authentication Service (3D Secure 2.0) provided by the credit card company. 

Please register from your credit card company's website. 

  • Customers who have used the Authentication Service (3D Secure) also need to register for the Authentication Service (3D Secure 2.0).

To access each credit company's website from au Pay app, go to "Charge" [チャージ]"Credit Card" [クレジットカード] "Click here for details'' [詳細はこちら] and the following screen will be displayed. Please tap on the credit card company you are using and complete the registration.

If ER322 is displayed

We apologize for the inconvenience, but please try registering with another credit card or charge by a method other than a credit card.

If ER323 is displayed

The credit card cannot be used due to the settings of the credit card company, such as limits on the amount and number of attempts. 
Please contact your credit card company for details.

If ER325 is displayed

You cannot register the credit card because the allowed number of attempts has been exceeded.
Please register after a while.

If ER326 is displayed

From June 22nd of 2021, only one au PAY Balance can be registered for one credit card.

Therefore, please delete the credit card information set for another au PAY Balance and set it again.

If ER327 is displayed

The credit card you entered is not compatible with the Authentication Service (3D Secure 2.0).

Please check the terms and conditions and register a credit card that is compatible with the Authentication Service (3D Secure 2.0). 
If you have registered for the Authentication Service (3D Secure 2.0), you may be temporarily unable to use your credit card.
