Although a separate fee was planned to be applied for sending of paper invoices by postal mail beginning with the December 2008 invoice (November usage portion), au has decided to continue sending invoices for free from December 2008. Customers who do not require invoices by mail are requested to apply for the au Internet Charge Notification Service. Those receiving combined invoices should apply for the KDDI Internet Charge Notification Service.

Purchasing is simple
|
|
When you purchase a mobile phone, you can choose to pay at once or on an installment plan (12 or 24 payments). There is no additional charge for paying by installments.
|
|
When paying all at once, you can pay with cash or credit card.
|
|
You can also purchase a phone on au's installment plan. You can even change models while paying installments. Choose from paying the remainder of installments at once or continuing your payments.

Choose the "New Simple Plan", which offers the same free calling time along with greater savings on basic monthly charges.

Additional savings with au Points!
New Simple Plan customers will receive 2 "Monthly Points" for every ¥100 (excluding tax) of usage charges, and are also eligible for "Anniversary Points" and "Premier Points".

Customers currently enrolled in au who have not yet purchased a phone with "au Purchase Program" must purchase a phone (change models) with the "Simple Course" plan.

"Everybody Discount" is offered on the basis of a two-year subscription contract. If the contract is cancelled or otherwise suspended during the term, a contract cancellation fee (¥9,975 including tax) will be charged. (However, the fee will not be charged until the end of November 2008.) The discount is renewed automatically every two years.

The free calling times displayed are the maximum possible calling times. Actual free calling time may vary depending on circumstances of use. Charges for calls made outside of Japan, Prepaid calling charges and some others are not covered by free calling time.
