- Abundant real-time information
You can check out "Gurunavi" and "Hot Pepper" information as well as all kinds of other useful real-time information when you go for a drive, including word-of-mouth restaurant information, parking availability, gasoline prices, weather information, search rankings and popular recommendations. Real-time traffic information is also available.
- Detailed search conditions & user-friendly map display
You can search for a destination not only by name or address, but by more detailed search conditions. Icons on the map show the destination spot and related information.
- Maps are automatically updated
The maps displayed on the screen are automatically updated to show newly constructed buildings and roads [1].
- [1] Route searches using updated road information such as newly opened roads require upgrading of the application software by the user [2] (scheduled to be available in early 2011). Depending on the region where the car navigation system is used, the latest information may not be displayed.
- [2] Version upgrades are normally performed by radio communications. However, upgrading of large volume data needs to be performed via the internet, so you will need an internet-connectible computer and SDHC card (4GB or larger). Map data is upgraded three times a year.
Navi information can be shared between your mobile phone and computer
"EZ Navi Walk," "EZ Navi for passenger seat" and "NAVITIME" information can be shared [3]. Destinations and routes searched in advance on your mobile phone or computer can be sent to CAR NAVITIME.
- [3] About information sharing between your mobile phone and computer: Some functions require payment of a registration fee for "EZ Navi Walk," "EZ Navi for passenger seat" and "NAVITIME" services.
- Applications for model change, transfer, succession (including transfer within your family), mobile number portability (MNP), security service for loss or theft, or temporary suspension are not applicable.
- A phone line contracted for CAR NAVITIME is not covered by the "au Point Program," "au Purchase Program," and "Keitai Guarantee Service."
- KDDI shall not be held responsible for any modification or loss of data stored in CAR NAVITIME due to malfunction, repair, and loss of the product.
- In the case of cancellation of a phone line contracted for CAR NAVITIME, functions which require the network communication during the navigation service will be terminated upon such cancellation. After the termination of the communication contract, only functions which do not require the network communication during the navigation service can be used.
