KDDI launched this service to expand mobile phone usability and convenience to an even larger amount of people who rely on mobile phones in their daily lives.
Discount details
Contract for 1 year of continuous use and receive the following discounts.

- Because the Smile-heart Discount requires a successive contract in one year blocks, in the case of contract termination or temporary suspension or discontinuation of your Smile-heart Discount during the contract period, a contract cancellation charge of ¥3,000 (¥3,150 with tax) is incurred, regardless of how many years you used the Smile-heart Discount. The discount is applicable for the cancelled month unless it is a renewal month.
- The contract cancellation fee will not be charged to customers using a Full Support Course Price Plan with Full Support Course.
- This discount does not cover EZweb transmission charges, data transmission charges (including packet transmission charges), overseas Global Passport calling charges and data transmission charges, EZ apps sending charges, international calling charges (including au International Calling Service calling charges), and prepaid calling charges.
- Calling charges and directory service charges for 104 directory service are free.
- You cannot contract for multiple Smile-heart Discounts under one name.
- Group Video Phone calling charges are also included in the discount.
- The basic rate discount does not apply to subscriptions to Simple Plan S or L.

Discount eligibility
Customers with either the Identification booklet for people with disabilities (Shintai shogaisha techo), Nursing Booklet for people with disabilities (Ryoiku techo), or Identification booklet for people with mental disabilities (Seishin shogaisha hoken fukushi techo) are eligible.
- You must sign up for this discount in order to use it.
- When signing up, KDDI will need to verify your disability certificate.
