Service introduction
Enjoy unlimited calls within Japan to up to three specified au mobile phones 24 hours a day for a flat rate of just ¥390 per month (including tax)! (Video Phone charges are 60% off.) This flat rate also covers SMS (C-mail) messages sent from within Japan!
How to Apply
- Applications will be accepted beginning Monday, August 10, 2009.
- We accept applications via EZweb, online (PC), at au Shops and by telephone.
- Group Video phone calling charges, E-mail transmission charges, EZ Apps transmission charges, GLOBAL PASSPORT calling and data transmission charges when used outside of Japan, and calling charges through use of a CDMA Prepaid Card are not covered by this discount.
- This discount is applicable only to calls made to phone numbers of au mobile phones and specific MVNO carrier mobile phones [1]. If a user of a designated phone number switches to another carrier with Mobile Number Portability, the discount will no longer apply.
- The discount is not applicable if a phone number of carriers other than au and specific MVNO carriers [1] is registered as a designated phone number.
- This discount cannot be combined with "Call Designation Discount" or "Call Wide". Customers using an au mobile phone who have selected "Call Designation Discount" will not automatically be switched to "Call Designation Flat Rate". To switch discount services, termination of "Call Designation Discount" and application for "Call Designation Flat Rate" are required.
- Rate plans eligible for this discount are all CDMA 1X WIN plans and some CDMA 1X plans (Plan SS-Plan LL, Daytime S or L, Support Plan, Plan SS Simple-Plan LL Simple, Simple Plan S or L, Daytime S or L Simple).
- Prepaid Phone and Single Service users cannot apply for this discount.
- Even if a designated number is changed or cancelled, this service continues and the flat rate will be charged unless notified of such a change or cancellation.
- The flat rate of "Call Designation Flat Rate" cannot be calculated on a per diem basis.
- "Call Designation Flat Rate" becomes effective from the month following application. However, a customer who newly applies for the service can choose between having the plan effective in the current month, or in the following month.
- When a designated number is changed, the discount on calls to the newly designated number commences from the month following application.
- Long phone calls that occur repeatedly, or other abnormal phone calls that KDDI judges to have an adverse effect on its overall service, may be terminated by KDDI.
- The flat rate of "Call Designation Flat Rate" does not apply to D-rate/mobile rate data transmission (supplied with CDMA 1X models) to the designated parties.
