- [1] "Family members" means members of a family that are enrolled in the same Family Discount plan. The Family Discount contract is for two to ten lines. Charges for Video Phone calls (group Video Phone calls), calls made with a CDMA prepaid card, and calls outside of Japan are not free.
- [2] When Family Discount and Everybody Discount are combined, group Video Phone calling charges are not covered under the discount. When Family Discount and Smile-heart Discount are combined, group Video Phone calling charges are 50% off.
- * The remaining free calls from other family members cannot be applied to over-limit packet communications charges and international calling charges (including calling charges for the au International Calling Service) or overseas Global Passport calling charges and data transmission charges. Also, remaining free calls of packet communications flat rates or discount service cannot be applied to packet communications charges for family members.
- Make sure to check the notes on service requirements, types of calls not covered, and cancellation charges.
If you have used au for an especially long time (from the eleventh year of subscription onward), you can make free domestic calls to family members with a Family Discount and One-year Discounted Subscription combo as well.
- * From your eleventh year of subscription with au onward, if you use both Family Discount and Everybody Discount, the Everybody Discount contract cancellation fee is reduced from ¥9,975 to ¥3,150.

- Subscribing to Family Discount and Everybody Discount (or Smile-heart Discount) is a prerequisite to receiving free domestic calls to family members. Please be aware that if you do not meet this prerequisite, you will not qualify for free calls, even to family members.
- "Family members" means members of a family that are enrolled in the same Family Discount plan. The Family Discount contract is for two to ten lines.
- Charges for Video Phone calls (group Video Phone calls), calls made with a CDMA prepaid card, and calls outside of Japan are not free.
- Because the Everybody Discount requires a successive contract in two year blocks, in the case of contract termination or temporary suspension or discontinuation of your Everybody Discount during the contract period, a contract cancellation charge (¥9,975 (tax included)) is incurred, regardless of how many years you used the Everybody Discount. Unless you specify that you wish to cancel the discount service, it will renew automatically for two year blocks.
Because the Smile-heart Discount requires a successive contract in one year blocks, in the case of contract termination or temporary suspension or discontinuation of your Smile-heart Discount during the contract period, a contract cancellation charge (¥3,150 (tax included)) is incurred, regardless of how many years you used the Smile-heart Discount. Unless you specify that you wish to cancel the discount service, it will renew automatically for one year blocks.
The contract cancellation fee will not be charged to customers using a Full Support Course Price Plan with Full Support Course. - If a call extends for a long period of time or if KDDI determines that it may interfere with other communications traffic, KDDI may terminate the call.
- Full Support Course requires two years continuous usage of an au phone. A cancellation fee will be charged to customers who change phone models, cancel service, or perform other actions midway through their subscriptions. [¥16,800 (including tax) up to the 12th month, ¥12,600 (including tax) up to the 18th month, ¥6,300 (including tax) up to the 24th month.] au Points will automatically be applied toward the Full Support Cancellation Fee.
- If your rate plan is Simple Plan S (¥1,050/month (tax included)), Simple Plan L (¥2,625/month (tax included)), the basic rate discounts of Family Discount, Everybody Discount, and Smile-heart Discount are not applied.
