TOMOKOMI Student Discount

Eligible customers
Students and their family who sign up for a new contract.
- * Applicable to customers who sign up for a new contract and simultaneously subscribe to this discount during the application acceptance period.
- * As for family members, the discount is applicable only if there is a "Student Discount (student)" line within their "Family Discount" group.
Applicable conditions
Customers who sign up for a new contract and simultaneously subscribe to "Plan Z Simple" & "Everybody Discount"/"Smile-heart Discount". Family members must also subscribe to "Family Discount".
- * No free call allowance is included in the Plan Z Simple.
Details of the discount
Monthly basic charge is free for up to 3 years for students
Monthly basic charge is free for up to 3 years for family members (when switching from another carrier)
Up to 15 months free for family members who sign up for a new contract
- * Once the discount period ends, the normal rate is applied.
Application acceptance period
January 18 - May 31, 2012 (Discount starts from the month following the month of application)
- [1] "Everybody Discount" is offered on the basis of a two-year contract. In the case of contract termination or temporary suspension or discontinuation of the "Everybody Discount" during the contract period, a contract cancellation fee of ¥9,975 is incurred (excluding the month of renewal) regardless of how many years you used the "Everybody Discount". The contract will be automatically renewed for another 2 years unless you request termination.
Students
This discount is applicable to students attending schools specified by KDDI.

- * In the case of elementary and junior high school students, KDDI will use the student's age instead of documentation proving student status.
- * Customers who will enroll in an elementary school in April 2012 are eligible for the discount.
- * In the case of high school students or older, KDDI will check if a user attends a school that meets conditions specified by KDDI.
- This discount is available in combination with Smile-heart Discount.
- The discount period starts from the month following the month of application. Even during the discount period, the discount is not applied in a month when conditions are not met. Once the discount period ends, the normal rate is applied.
- Customers who had subscribed to a student discount in the past are not eligible for this discount.
- If customers are students at the time of application, the discount will continue to be applied even if their student status changes during the contract period due to graduation, etc.
- Even after subscribing to the discount, the discount is not applied in a month when conditions are not met.
- When basic monthly charge is calculated on a prorated basis, the discount amount is also calculated on a prorated basis.
- The number of lines eligible for the discount is limited to one per name (a user in the case when a contractor ≠ a user).
- This discount is not applicable to "Prepaid cards", "Data communication devices", and "Digital communication life devices".
- In the case of cancellation or temporary halt of a contracted line, this discount is terminated at the end of the month in which such request is made.
- In the case of transfer or succession of a contracted line's ownership, or when a user is changed, this discount is terminated at the end of the month in which such request is made.
- Once the discount is terminated due to contract cancellation or other reasons, a subscriber of this discount (a student or family members) is not allowed to apply for the discount again.
- The number of contracted lines for "Family Discount" is 2-10.
- The contract processing fee for a new contract is required separately.
- This service may not be available in combination with other campaigns offered by KDDI.
- "Smile-heart Discount" is automatically renewed on the basis of a one-year contract. In the case of termination during the contract period, a contract cancellation fee of ¥3,150 is incurred (excluding the month of renewal).
- All the charges indicated above include applicable taxes.
- Additionally, ¥5.25/month (with tax) is charged for each contracted telephone number as a universal service fee.
