- Packet charges for a car manufacturer's communications-enabled car navigation system [1] are subject to the upper limit of EZweb communications charges for packet communications discount services etc.
Subscribe to packet communications discount services etc. (refer to the following table).
Apply for the Car Navi Fee Option Service. The flat-rate charge of ¥210/month (with tax) is required.

To use this option, you need to check compatibility of eligible mobile phone models with car manufacturer's car navigation systems. For more details, please visit the individual car manufacturer's official website.

- * Subscription to packet communications discount services (Double-Teigaku, Double-Teigaku-Light, Double-Teigaku-Super Light, IS Flat, Packet Discount WIN Middle/Super) or rate plans with flat-rate packet communications (Plan E, Plan E Simple, Plan F (IS), Plan F (IS) Simple) is required.
- * The upper limit of EZweb communications charges for packet communications discount services etc. does not apply to customers who have not subscribed to the Car Navi Fee Option Service.
- * Monthly basic charges are ¥200 (¥210 with tax).
- * Charges are not calculated on a prorated basis.
- * Applicable from the month of application. However, if you apply for the service on the last day of the month or the day before the last day, the discount may not be applied until the following month.
- * It will take a few days to reflect new calling charges on au Customer Support, option fees on the calling rate inquiry, and information concerning your subscription to the option on the contact information inquiry.
- * As for packet communications charges, communications charges of packet communications discount services etc. are applied.
- * The upper limit of packet communications charges varies depending on packet communications discount services.
For instance, in case of customers who have subscribed to the Double-Teigaku-Super Light, the upper limit for the use of EZweb and E-mail is set to ¥4,200 (¥4,410 with tax). - * If you cancel a contract of packet communications discount services or rate plans with flat-rate packet communications, the Car Navi Fee Option Service is automatically canceled.
- * If you have changed a mobile phone to a model that does not support this service, you need to cancel this Car Navi Fee Option Service by yourself.
- * With some special exceptions, this service is not generally available for smartphones. For details, refer to the web sites of your automobile manufacturer and car navigation system manufacturer.
Car Navi Fee Option Service
Until now, packet communications charges of a car navigation system are not covered by the flat rate of packet communications discount services etc. From now on, however, the flat rate applies to customers who have subscribed to packet communications discount services etc. and pay the Car Navi Fee Option Service fee (¥210/month with tax).
- [1] For Double-Teigaku-Super Light users (When using models that offer flat-rate mobile data communications, the upper limit for mobile data communications (¥10,395/month) is applied. This is also applicable to flat-rate packet communications services other than Double-Teigaku-Super Light.)
- [2] Flat-rate fees and packet communications charges of packet communications discount services etc. vary depending on flat-rate packet communications services.

- For packet communications for the car navigation system using the Car Navi Fee Option Service, you need to have a compatible model (mobile phone) and car navigation system.
- Before applying, be sure to check the compatibility of your mobile phone with the car navigation system by visiting the automobile manufacturer and car navigation system manufacturer's websites.

Please note that flat rates may not be applicable to some type of data communications depending on which service you use. For instance, flat rates are not applicable to data communications required for circuit switching when using G-BOOK (since August 2003) and G-BOOK ALPHA (since May 2005).

Note that the flat rate does not apply to all data communications depending on the service that you use. More precisely, packet communication charges generated when using map difference updates and acquisition of CD track titles with the CARWINGS navigation system are not covered by the flat-rate service.
How to Apply
The Car Navi Fee Option Service was scheduled to start accepting applications in November 2010; however, due to the extension of the campaign period the details of the application, including how to apply, will not be available until the spring of 2011.
