Overview

New rate plan to offer discounted calling charges has arrived. You can choose a suitable plan depending on your style. Which do you want to save more E-mail communication charges, or basic charges, or calling charges?

With the new rate plan, au offers more and more discounted rate services.

• * This is a rate plan exclusively for the Simple Course.
• * This is a rate plan exclusively for "CDMA1X WIN" and cannot be used in prepaid services.
• [1] Because the "Everybody Discount" requires a successive contract in two year blocks, in the case of contract termination or temporary suspension, or discontinuation of the "Everybody Discount" during the contract period, a contract cancellation charge of ¥9,975 is incurred (excluding the renewal month), regardless of how many years you have subscribed to the Everybody Discount. Unless you specify that you wish to cancel the discount service, it will renew automatically for another two years.

• [2] For calls that straddle the 1:00 am or 9:00 pm time designations, charges are waived for the time segment straddling a time designation (30 seconds). Calls to special numbers including the Answering Service (Voice Mail) (1417) do not count as free calls to au mobile phone users.

• [3] The listed call time is the maximum time, and differs depending on actual usage circumstances.
• [4] A call that continues beyond midnight will be charged for the day on which the call ends.
  Only available for models that support the Video Phone functionality. For group Video Phone calls, only the party which initiates the call is charged, and the charge is equivalent to the Video Phone charge.
• [5] The free call allowance included in the Plan W Simple/Plan W is only applicable to charges of calls made through the au International Calling Service and charges of calls and communications made abroad through the GLOBAL PASSPORT. However, if you have subscribed to a flat-rate service for domestic packet communications, the free call allowance is not applicable to packet communication charges covered by the Overseas Double-Teigaku service. The free call allowance of the Plan W Simple/Plan W cannot be carried over through the INDEFINITE-PERIOD CARRY OVER, or shared through the Family Discount/Business Discount. If you change from other rate plans to the Plan W Simple/Plan W, the remaining carry-over of the free call allowance is applied only to au international calls and expires at the end of the current month when such a change is made.

• [1] This is a rate plan exclusively for smartphones and mobile phones and cannot be used in prepaid services. This plan is not applicable to "IS Flat" "Double-Teigaku-Super Light" "Double-Teigaku-Light" "Double-Teigaku" "Packet Discount WIN Middle/WIN Super".
• [2] "Everybody Discount" is automatically renewed every two years. If this contract is cancelled during the term, a cancellation fee (¥9,975) will be charged (excluding the renewal month).

Universal service system

In accordance with the launch of the universal service system, subscribers of au phone services have been asked to pay a "universal service fee" from billing of January 2007.

• * The actual amount charged is calculated using the tax amount calculated from the total amount of the individual tax-excluded charges, and therefore may differ from the total of the individual tax-included charges. Also, tax-included charges are truncated to whole numbers (excluding calling charges and communication charges).
