Please note that if this contract is cancelled or suspended or the customer withdraws from Everybody Discount during the term (except during the contract renewal month), a contract cancellation fee of 9,975 yen will be charged, irrespective of the number of years of subscription to Everybody Discount. The contract is automatically renewed every two years unless an application for withdrawal is made.

Family Discount Wide Support target plan
As of August 9, 2009, KDDI is no longer accepting new applications for the "Student Discount" and "Support plan," the Wide Support compatible plan.

Universal service system

Notes about rate plan changes
- Rate plan changes usually take effect on the month subsequent to request, but they may be take effect two months subsequent to request if the request is on the 25th or later (change processing fee is free).
Notes about basic rates
- For mid-month sign-up or cancellation, the basic rate (with free calling included for free call plan) for that month is calculated on a prorated basis for that month.
Notes about calling charges
- When an incoming call is received by a contracted au phone, the caller will be billed charges based on the calling charges set by the telephone service company which the caller uses.
- Calling charges for international calls (KDDI / SoftBank Telecom / NTT Communications / UCOM / Brastel / IPS / Yasuko-No-Denwa) are not covered by au rate plans. Your international calling service company will bill you separately based on the charges set by that company.
The free calling times for plans with free calls are the maximum times, and differ depending on actual usage circumstances. - Overseas Global Passport calling charges and data transmission charges, international calling charges (including calling charges for the au International Calling Service), prepaid calling charges, Teledome 0180 calls, and Navidial 0570 calls cannot be counted as free calling time for free call plan.
- If the calling charges do not exceed your free calling limit, your packet communications charge is applied to the remaining free call value (unless you use a packet communications charge discount service).
- Calling charges for January 2nd and January 3rd are Saturday/Sunday/Holiday daytime and night time charges.
- Please be aware that "calling charge display (by plan) service" is an approximate number, and actual billed amounts may differ.
- Calls that stretch across more than one day will be charged for the day on which the call ended.
- Daytime is 8:00 to 19:00, nighttime is 19:00 to 23:00, and late night and early morning is 23:00 to 8:00 the next morning.
Charges included in the free call value
- Domestic calling charges (domestic calling charges/SMS (C-mail) sending charges/EZ Appli sending charges/data charges other than packet transmission charges/TV phone calling charges (including group TV phone calling charges))
- Domestic packet transmission charges (excluded for customers enrolled in a packet transmission flat rate or discount service)
- au International Call Service calling charges
- Global Passport calling and transmission charges when used overseas
- * Free calling charges are applied in the following order: domestic calling charges, domestic packet transmission charges, au International Call Service, Global Passport calling and transmission charges when used overseas.
- * The actual charges are calculated using the tax amount calculated from the total amount of the individual tax-excluded charges, and therefore may differ from the total of the individual tax-included charges. Tax-included charges are truncated to whole numbers (excluding calling charges and communication charges).
