This service offers a smoother Internet experience at train stations, airports, cafes or other places outside the home. Overseas use is also supported.
You can enjoy not only browsing, but also watching videos and downloading large files more smoothly.

To offer more comfortable communications to au smartphone users, KDDI will make every effort to improve Wi-Fi quality of au Wi-Fi service from various aspects.

Eligible customers
Customers who have subscribed to "LTE Flat", "LTE Flat for Tab/Tab (i)", "LTE Double-Teigaku for Tab/Tab (i)", "IS Flat", or "Plan F (IS) Simple / Plan F (IS)"
Available Wi-Fi networks (SSID)
au smartphone/iPhone/iPad/Tablet (3G/4G LTE supported), PC, Wi-Fi tablet, etc
- *There is no need for you to select a Wi-Fi network name because the connection to the Wi-Fi network is automatic.
- *"au_Wi-Fi" and "au_Wi-Fi2" cannot be used on iPhone or iPad. Connect to any of the above Wi-Fi networks located in the same spot.
- *"au_Wi-Fi2" is only available for au Android smartphones that support LTE.

- [1] The usage fees are prorated in cases where the customer signs up or cancels a contract before the end of a month.

[2] For customers who purchase at an Apple Store, au Wi-Fi SPOT becomes available three days after the purchase of an iPad.
- For customers who have subscribed to LTE Double-Teigaku for Tab, the three-day prorated amount is deducted from au Wi-Fi SPOT fees two months after the purchase.
- For customers who have subscribed to LTE Flat for Tab, au Wi-Fi SPOT is available for free.
- [3] Upper limit based on Japan time. This is not a monthly flat rate. Communications charges are not eligible for domestic discount services and packet communications flat-rate/discount services.

Overseas au Wi-Fi SPOT (in Japanese only)
au Wi-Fi SPOTs are also available overseas. Now available in over 100 countries and locations overseas including North America, Asia, Europe, and more!
- *Before using "overseas mode", log in to the au Wi-Fi connection tool. After using, log out. If you do not log out, communications charges are incurred until you are automatically logged out after a set period of time.
au Wi-Fi SPOT (Trial Service)
au Wi-Fi SPOT (Trial Service) provides a free, 180-day trial of au Wi-Fi SPOT to anyone who registers using the dedicated connection tool that is pre-installed on supported devices, regardless of whether or not they are an au subscriber.

Notes
Wi-Fi connection
Wi-Fi connection may not be available due to a decrease in communication speed in your usage environment.
Change in service plan
If you change from an ineligible service plan to an eligible service plan, "au Wi-Fi SPOT" becomes available at earliest 2 days after the time of application. However, as the service plan will be applied from the following month, the upper limit of the ineligible service plan which was applied before the change is applied for the current month.
Termination of service plan
If you cancel the eligible service plan, "au Wi-Fi SPOT" becomes unusable at the end of the month in which such a request is made.
- *Some apps may not be available in the "au Wi-Fi SPOT" area.
- *To use Wi-Fi connection outside the "au Wi-Fi SPOT" area (e.g. at home), the normal Wi-Fi connection setting is required. See the instruction manual for more details.
