  • * This is a rate plan exclusively for the Simple Course and cannot be used in prepaid services/4G LTE Smartphones (including iPhone 5).
  • * Rate plans of the Full Support Course are used for contracts made by bringing in an au mobile phone.
  • [1]Because the "Everybody Discount" requires a successive contract in two year blocks, in the case of contract termination or temporary suspension, or discontinuation of the "Everybody Discount" during the contract period, a contract cancellation charge of ¥9,975 is incurred (excluding the renewal month), regardless of how many years you have subscribed to the Everybody Discount. Unless you specify that you wish to cancel the discount service, it will renew automatically for another two years.

  • [2]For calls that straddle the 1:00 am or 9:00 pm time designations, charges are waived for the time segment straddling a time designation (30 seconds). Calls to special numbers including the Answering Service (Voice Mail) (1417) do not count as free calls to au mobile phone users.

Notes on rate plan changes

  • Change of a rate plan usually takes effect on the month subsequent to the month in which such a request is made. However, if you make such a request on 25th or later, the change may take effect two months later (Charges for changes are free).

Notes on basic charges

  • If you sign up for a service, or cancel the contract partway through the month, the basic charges (including the free call allowance in the case of rate plans with the free call allowance) are calculated on a prorated basis.

Notes on calling charges

  • "Plan Z Simple" "Plan E" and "Plan E Simple" do not include the free call allowance.
  • When making a call to your contracted au phone, the caller will be charged based on calling charges specified by the caller's carrier.
  • au rate plans are not applicable to charges of international calls (KDDI/SoftBank Telecom/NTT Communications/UCOM/Brastel/IPS). International calls are separately charged by international call carriers based calling charges specified by each carrier. The length of free calls included in plans with free call allowance indicates the maximum time, and differ depending on actual usage circumstances.
  • On January 2 and January 3, calling charges for daytime/nighttime on Saturday/Sunday/Holiday are applied.
  • Charges displayed by the "Service to display charges for each plan" are merely estimated amounts, and differ from the actual billing amounts.
  • A call that continues beyond midnight will be charged for the day on which the call ends.
  • Daytime indicates 8:00-19:00, nighttime indicates 19:00-23:00, and late night and early morning indicate 23:00-8:00 the next day.

  • Domestic calling charges (domestic calling charges/charges for sending SMS (C-mail)/charges for transferring EZ App/data communication charges other than packet communication charges/TV phone calling charges (including group TV phone calling charges))
  • Domestic packet communication charges (not applicable to customers who subscribe to a flat rate or discount service for packet communications)
  • au International Calling Service calling charges
  • GLOBAL PASSPORT calling and communication charges for overseas use
  • * Free call allowance is applied in the following order: "domestic calling charges", "domestic packet communication charges", "au International Calling Service", "GLOBAL PASSPORT calling and communication charges for overseas use".
  • * The actual amount charged is calculated using the tax amount calculated from the total amount of the individual tax-excluded charges, and therefore may differ from the total of the individual tax-included charges. Also, tax-included charges are truncated to whole numbers (excluding calling charges and communication charges).
  • *The charges listed include applicable taxes. Please note that the amount shown is the total amount including the approximate amount of consumption tax and it may differ from the actual billed amount.
