Overview
- The maximum charge for using communications solely via smartphone is ¥5,985 per month (with tax), no matter how much you use it.
- When using e-mail or EZweb/PC Site Viewer, please Application for the EZ WIN Course (¥315 per month with tax).
- Maximum charge for EZweb E-mail is ¥4,410 per month (with tax), no matter how much you use it.
Even if usage of PC Site Viewer is included, the maximum charge is ¥5,985 per month (with tax).

On applicable phones for mobile data transmission standard charges, the charge is ¥10,395 per month (with tax) when connected to devices such as mobile personal computers, PDAs, or car navigation systems, no matter how much you use them.
Applicable period
- If you sign-up along with a new subscription: the discount starts the same month (as the new subscription).
- If you are enrolled in a packet flat rate service: the discount starts the subsequent month.
- If you are not enrolled in a packet flat rate service: you can chose same month start-up or next month start-up.
- *When purchasing a device via model change/addition, if you sign-up for a flat-rate packet communications service simultaneously with changing your rate plan from "Plan E Simple/Plan E" to another plan, you can select the starting date of the service from either the following month or the delivery date of the device subject to model change/addition (the date when the line is switched) (Note that basic charges and free call allowance are calculated on a pro-rate basis).
- *If you sign-up when entering into a new subscription, this service will start on the day your subscription starts (the flat rate and free communications charges are calculated on a daily prorated basis). If you change over from another packet communications flat rate service, this service will start the month after you sign-up.
- *If you add Double-Teigaku-Light in any case not listed above, you can select start-up from the sign-up month or the month after the sign-up month.
Notes
- *Not available for customers using Plan E Simple or Plan E.
- *The maximum charge for communication on devices such as mobile PCs, PDAs, and car navigation systems applies only to specific models (the same models as those specified in "Models subject to maximum charges for connection with mobile PCs, PDAs, and car navigation systems" under the "Double-Teigaku-Super Light" plan).
*Your line may be temporarily suspended if your packet communications fee becomes expensive, regardless of whether or not you subscribe to a packet communications flat-rate fee / discount service (Packet Teigaku Plan).
- *This service cannot be used in combination with Double-Teigaku-Super Light, Double-Teigaku-Light, or Packet Discount WIN Super/WIN Middle.
- *Whether or not you are enrolled in a packet communications flat rate service, EZweb is always offered with service conditions like the maximum character count and attached file size for one message and maximum transmission via EZ apps for one day.
- *If you are enrolled in a packet communications flat rate service, your rate plan free call does not cover your packet communications charge.
- *Some transmissions incurred during the initial setup of JR East's Mobile Suica are not covered under the maximum charge of this packet communications flat rate service.
- *This discount does not cover calling charges and Video Phone calling charges (including group Video Phone calling charges).
- *Smartphones may access the Internet in some applications even when a user does not operate the device.
Accordingly, a subscription to IS Flat is recommended.
Restrictions on use
- If the packet communications charges for usage are high, your line may be temporarily suspended regardless of whether or not you are enrolled in a packet communications flat rate/discount service.
- To avoid network congestion, a limit will be placed on communications speed for a whole day if you have used more than 3,000,000 packets over the three most recent days (not including the day on which the restriction is applied).
Communications optimization
ISNET series packet communications may perform system optimization to improve the display speed of images and the waiting time before video playback begins.
Image files BMP, jpg, gif, PNG formats Video files MPEG, AVI, MOV, FLV, MP4, 3GP, WebM, ASF, WMV formats - *HTTPS communications and files with email attachments are not optimized.
- *Smartphone communications with au.Net are also applicable.
- *Customers who do not need communication optimization can contact the Customer Center (157) to have optimization cancelled.
- *Optimization is the compression and conversion of images to the appropriate size for a smartphone screen. Compressed and converted data cannot be restored.
