"Family members" are defined as those enrolled in the same "Family Discount" plan. Two to ten accounts can be enrolled in "Family Discount" in one family. TV phone calling charges (group TV phone), Hello Messenger calling charges, calls made with a CDMA prepaid card, and calls outside of Japan are not free. |

The unused free calling time of other family members cannot be used to cover the excess portion of packet communication charges, international call charges (including au International Call Service charges), or GLOBAL PASSPORT call or data charges for services used outside of Japan.In addition, even if a member of the family subscribing to a packet communication flat rate or discount service has not used all available free packets, the remaining packets cannot be used to cover the packet communication charges of other family members.

To change designated numbers
Charges for calls to the newly designated numbers will be discounted from the month following the month of application.
You can designate up to three au phone, general land-line, or IP phone numbers. The discount will not be applied if special numbers (such as 110 and 104), international phone numbers, toll-free numbers, PHS, or numbers for a carrier other than au are designated. This discount does not apply to group TV phone calling charges.

Domestic calling charges are free under the condition that the customer is enrolled in both "Family Discount" and "Everybody Discount" (or "Smile-heart Discount"). Please note that if this condition is not fulfilled, calls are not free even if placed to other family members.

"Everybody Discount" is offered on the basis of a two-year subscription contract. If the contract is cancelled or suspended, or "Everybody Discount" is terminated during the term, a contract cancellation fee of ¥9,975 (including tax) will be charged regardless of years of enrollment in "Everybody Discount". "Everybody Discount" is renewed automatically every two years unless the customer notifies us of his/her intention to terminate it. "Smile-heart Discount" is offered on the basis of a one-year term subscription contract. If the contract is cancelled or suspended, or if "Smile-heart Discount" is terminated during the term, a contract cancellation fee of ¥3,150 (including tax) will be charged regardless of the time enrolled in "Smile-heart Discount". "Smile-heart Discount" is renewed automatically every year unless the customer notifies us of his/her intention to terminate it. The contract cancellation fee will not be charged to "Full Support Course" customers. Customers enrolling in "Simple Course" will not be charged the contract cancellation fee until the end of November 2008.

If a call extends for an extraordinarily long period of time, or is determined by au to effect other communications, au may choose to terminate the call.

Full Support Course is offered with the requirement of two years' continuous usage of an au mobile phone. A Full Support Cancellation Fee will be charged to customers who change phone models or cancel the service midway through their subscription. (¥18,900 (including tax) up to the 12th month, ¥12,600 (including tax) up to the 18th month, ¥6,300 (including tax) up to the 24th month) au Points will automatically be allocated in the event the Full Support Cancellation Fee is charged.

The basic monthly charge discounts of "Family Discount", "Everybody Discount", and "Smile Heart Discount" will not be applied for customers enrolled in Simple Plan S (¥1,050/month (including tax)) or Simple Plan L (¥2,625/month (including tax)).
